The Jewish War Veterans (JWV) of the USA, organized in 1896 by Jewish Veterans of the Civil War, is the oldest active national veterans' service organization in America. Among JWV's activities are: promoting legislation assisting veterans, sponsoring projects on Jewish communal concerns, support of Israel, advocacy for International Jewry, and combating anti-Semitism. JWV is your voice on Capitol Hill.

Mission of JWV of the USA (edited): To maintain allegiance to the US, foster and perpetuate Americanism, uphold the fair name of the Jew and fight his/her battles whenever unjustly assailed, encourage universal liberty, equal rights and full justice; combat bigotry, preserve friendship by mutual helpfulness to comrades and families; foster the education of veterans; instill love of country and flag; promote sound minds in our members and youth, preserve the records of patriotic service performed by troops of faith; honor their memory and shield from neglect the graves of our heroic dead.
